LISA LEE

A graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, violinist Lisa Lee is a Fulbright Scholar and top prizewinner in the Tadeusz Wronski International Violin, Irving M. Klein International String, the San Francisco Symphony Concerto and Pacific Symphony Orchestra Young Artists, and the Seventeen Magazine/General Motors National Concerto competitions. Lisa has toured extensively with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and has participated in the Ravinia, Marlboro, IMS Open Chamber, and Lucerne music festivals. Most recently, Lisa and the founders of the Valley of the Moon Festival received the 2020-2021 San Francisco Classical Voice Audience Choice Awards for Best Streaming Instrumental Ensemble performance. A 2021 Naxos release, “Double Echo”, includes a recording of Lisa and guitarist, David Tanenbaum, performing the violin-guitar duo “Lullaby” by Aaron Jay Kernis. Lisa can also be found on the Delos, and Koch recording labels.
She is currently on faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Bay Area program Young Chamber Musicians.
